Questions
Frequently asked questions
What counts as a "life event"?
A change that lands hard: grief, divorce or a breakup, a job loss, a new diagnosis, a move, a new baby. Each qualifying event comes with up to 10 counseling sessions. If a new event comes up later, a new set of sessions comes with it.
How do I book a counselor?
From the app. Tell us what you need help with and the language you prefer, and you are matched with a licensed counselor for video, phone or in-person sessions, depending on where you are. You can also call our support line, which is answered live 24/7.
Is Zenn a therapist?
No. Zenn is an AI wellness companion, not a therapist or an emergency service. It is there for everyday support, and it connects you with a licensed counselor when a conversation needs one. In an emergency, call 911, or call or text 988.
Do I need insurance?
No. The membership is paid directly, with no insurance, no referral and no claims to file. Everything listed above is included in the price.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, from your account. Your membership stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. No fees, no phone call required.
Is it private?
Your conversations, journal and check-ins are yours. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we never sell your information. Our privacy policy has the details.
